A Hot Stones Massage can be beneficial to individuals experiencing muscle tension, stress and pain as well as those with poor circulation or individuals seeking improved sleep quality.

It can be particularly helpful to individuals who find deep tissue massage too intense, or for people who suffer from conditions such as fibromyalgia, arthritis or chronic pain.

How does a Hot Stones Massage work?

A Hot Stones Massage is a therapeutic treatment, where smooth heated stones, usually made of basalt are placed on the body in order to enhance the treatment.

The hot stones are placed on specific points along the spine, in the palms of hands, between the toes in order to target specific areas of tensions. The Therapist will use a combination of massage techniques, such as long strokes, circular motion and kneading.

Whilst it is generally safe for most individuals to experience a hot stones massage, there are certain conditions that make it unsuitable. Please see Contraindications below.
