Paediatric Osteopathy
PAEDIATRIC OSTEOPATHY
What is osteopathy?
Osteopathy offers a holistic and hands on approach that supports the body’s natural function. Using gentle techniques, osteopaths work with the skeleton, muscles, joints, and connective tissues. As a result, treatment can help improve mobility, reduce tension, and support overall comfort.
In addition, osteopaths train extensively in a wide range of practical techniques. Therefore, they can tailor treatment to each individual patient and their needs. By working directly with muscles, joints, and fascia, osteopaths help support movement, encourage balance within the body, and promote overall wellbeing.
Paediatric osteopathy
Paediatric osteopathy at BTST is provided by our Principal Osteopath, Becky Tyler, who holds a Specialist Paediatric Osteopathy PGCert qualification. Therefore, your child receives care from a highly trained practitioner.
Treatment uses a gentle form of osteopathy that is suitable for newborns and children of all ages. In addition, each session is carefully tailored to your child’s individual needs.
Our osteopaths use a variety of safe, non-invasive techniques, including stretching, massage, articulation, and gentle cranial methods. As a result, these approaches help support comfort, movement, and overall wellbeing.
Why Osteopathy?
Osteopathy uses a drug-free, non invasive form of manual treatment
Core Focus

How Does Osteopathy Help?
Osteopathic treatment for babies uses gentle and carefully adapted techniques to help ease areas of tension or restriction. As a result, treatment may support comfort, relaxation, and freer movement.
Some babies may show signs of discomfort, such as neck stiffness, unsettled behaviour, or difficulty relaxing. Therefore, osteopathic care can provide gentle support for musculoskeletal strains and tension.
In addition, treatment may help support overall wellbeing in babies who appear unsettled or experience general digestive discomfort. Every appointment focuses on your baby’s individual needs. Because of this, we always use soft, responsive, and gentle techniques throughout treatment.
Added Benefits
For babies, osteopathic care uses very light touch to encourage relaxation, ease tension and support overall wellbeing. Many parents tell us their baby seems calmer, more settled and more comfortable after treatment. All care is gentle, responsive and works alongside your baby’s existing medical support.
